The Jump Starter Battery+ Professional JS18 from Weego allows you to have ample power in a portable format that you can easily take with you anywhere or keep in your garage for any family car emergency. Jumpstart your vehicle anywhere without the need for a second car and traditional heavy duty jumper cables!
Specs
Total battery capacity is Li-Po 18000 mAh 12V battery. Peak Current at 600A and Starting current at 300A and a recharge time of 5 hours. The Weego Jump Starter Battery+ Pro features automatic off and has a typical lifespan of up to 1000 charging cycles. A flashlight that outputs 100 lumens with Flashlight, Strobe and SOS modes for emergency use. There are two USB output ports, a 1A and a 2A to charge your phone, tablet, laptops, mobile devices and any 12v accessories.
It is portable enough but it’s not realistic to think you might carry this around in your back pocket through your daily activities. Maybe for a mechanic or you just need to get your hands free for a second. It’s relatively compact and can be carried around in a small backpack, laptop bag or similar. The battery measures 9″x 3.5″ x 1.125″ and weighs 0.95 lbs.
If you are looking for something a bit more multi-purpose and with a smaller footprint Weego also makes Standard #JS6 6000 mAh 150A starting and 300A Peak Current at 5.5″ x 3″ x .625″ and the Heavy Duty #JS12 12,000 mAh 200A/400A which measures 6.25″ x 3″ x 1″.

Experience
Using the Weego Jump Starter Battery+ Pro is about as easy as it gets jump starting your car or any gas engines up to 9.6L (diesel up to 4.8L). No more nosing two cars together on a crowded highway or parking spot. Keep your traditional jumper cables for backup but you won’t need them.
Make sure your battery terminals are free of corrosion and connect the Red positive and Black negative pigtail cables securely to your battery terminal with the car’s ignition off. Then connect the opposite end of the pigtail module to the Weego Battery, Long press the on/off button and then try and start your car. Once your car is started, separate the pigtail/jumper cable module from the Weego Battery then remove cables from the car battery terminals. It’s that easy.
If your car won’t start, don’t not attempt to crank the engine for more than 3 seconds at a time to avoid damaging both your car and the Weego Battery. If you have insufficient power to turn the starter motor, you can hit the boost button which was able to provide enough of an increase to bring the power up to par when the level goes below optimal performance.
I can’t imagine how someone might but in the event you connect the wrong Pos/Neg terminals it will illuminate it’s red light and let out an alarm and do not press boost. If the green light is on your good to go and do not press boost. If the green light is blinking then you need to hit boost to get the unit up to operating level. If no light is on then your out of juice or just too low to use it at all. The green and red indicator lights are located on the hardware end of the pigtail unit.
In the first two scenarios you are not to hit the boost button, problem is that I was unable to tell whether the green light or red light was on as it appears both were lit or both were off. It would be much better if it simply didn’t allow any action without connecting things to their proper connection points and not allow you to boost when it’s not advisable. Not a big deal, always connect pigtails to car’s pos/neg terminals then attach to Weego and try it without Boost first and your good to go.
Even with 3 of 5 battery level indicators on the Weego Pro JS18 was able to jump start our riding lawn mower and my v6 car with ease, both of which happen to die at the same time coincidentally. Short press the on/off button the Weego Pro to check the amount of charge on your unit is sufficient charge on the 18,000 mAh capacity.
Weego OBDII Memory Saver Accessory
One invaluable tool to have in your fix it arsenal is the OBDII Memory saver. If you work on your own car or if you just want to change your own battery without having to pay someone or use a computer to reset your car, the OBDII keeps a charge going to the OBDII memory module via your car’s internal OBDII port and you can safely disconnect your car’s battery without disabling your ignition, alarm, radio which can require a computer system reset on your car to function again. Also saves your seat positions, GPS, keyless entry codes and more. Works as advertised and what an incredible convenience! I highly recommend the OBDII Memory saver accessory.
