The outdoors can be an enjoyable thing no matter what is going on with the weather. We can feel free and leave all of our worries behind when we embrace the outdoors. Most might do some camping, kayaking, or hiking the trails. It really doesn’t matter what you do because the outdoors is welcoming of any extra activity one wants to take in. Here are some things that technology has done for us outdoors.

Clothes now come with air conditioning thanks to the use of smartphones. Manufacturers have gotten smart when helping those on long hikes to not freeze to death or become overheated. It can be a matter of a button pressed or you use your smartphone to handle all controls to your coat. Shirts and pants have progressed as well when it comes to technology. We can now buy pants that are more than insulated. They can read our blood pressure, tell us if we are reaching an overheating point, and tell us to get water. Outdoor shirts are not just fancy or to keep you warm, they insulate you to protect you from harsh weather you might experience.
SmartWatches
Smartwatches have hit the market and they are all the rage. These gadgets are so sophisticated you literally have an EKG on your wrist while you hike. These watches tell how many steps we take, it reads our heartbeats, and can tell you when it’s time to get rest. It’s great for those in park ranger jobs and others who work outdoors. They love their job and want to keep those in the outdoors safe and alert. They can access a compass to steer them in the right direction in the middle of thick woods. Smartwatches are the new norm and everyone is wearing them to monitor health. When you’re outside and away from any medical assistance, these handy devices can save your life when no one is around.
Car Tents
Tents have always been a part of the great outdoors, but technology has brought this invention to another level. Cars can now drive out into the wilderness and have a tent pop up right on the top. No more laying on the ground waiting to be eaten up or attacked by a bear. Most technology tents are also operated by one’s smartphone right in the palm of their hands. Tents can be placed on the ground also and there’s no more hammering of spikes. You can if you want to, but in today’s world, that’s a bit unnecessary. All it takes is to hit a button on your phone to watch your tent unfold right before your eyes. Tents used to be a hassle to get out of the car. You had to move everything to the space where you assemble it, but that’s about all the hard work you’ll experience. Tents took too long to put up and it was really a pain to do. With tech devices, tents are now fun to manage.
Gone Fishing
Believe it or not, fishing has come a long way. It’s no longer about putting the line in the water. Now you can see the fish from a monitor. These handy gadgets are getting strapped to a pole and from the use of a smartphone, can zoom into the water below. The visibility is amazing and you can actually see the fish trying to get at your bait. Some might consider this to be cheating, but it does speed up the process if you don’t want to be out there all day on a hot boat.
These are some of things that technology has changed for the outdoors. We now count on our clothes to literally save our lives by turning on heated devices under the cloth or use our pants to cool us off. Smartwatches are the new tech gadgets to monitor our entire health and how we manage throughout the day. It counts our steps, tracks our sleep, and can tell us how far we’ve walked in the woods. Tents are no longer a pain in the neck as we can prop them up on top of our cars or unfold them with our phone in the dirt. Fishing is taking on new elements where we can see our fish to catch through a crafty monitor that comes with the pole.
Technology has done for us outdoors more than we can handle.
