The Road
Getting to where Adam Reyes is today did take some time and obstacles but he does owe it to his mother. Before Virile he worked for his mom at her shop called Shear Elite, which today he now owns and revamped it become Virile Heart & Heritage.
I’d say the most difficult business obstacle during inception was how would I afford rent or let people know I existed.
Instagram didn’t have any business tools at that time and Facebook was kind of new to all of it. The very few clients I did have carried me as best as they could.
One client in particular who I give full credit to why Virile was able to survive the first couple of months. I used to offer yearly memberships when I first started and my client Bryan purchased one when he really did not need to just to make sure I could pay rent for that month. It was the most generous and gracious gesture that kept Virile from immediate failure. I consider him such a dear friend and will never forget that kindness. I felt for the very first time like someone really believed in me.
The Products
We are glad Virile was able to stay open and now not only is there another one opening up on March 5th but the Virile products are expected to keep growing. I personally love the face balm, which is face moisturizer and aftershave balm all in one. The Menthol feeling when you apply it delivers a refreshing and soothing coolness to the skin, the Aloe Vera Extract calms and soothes the skin and the White Tea Extract is an antioxidant and antibacterial activity. The Man
So, what does Adam do when he is not at the barbershop or working on the Virile product line?
I really enjoy my time at the gym, music is my first love so I enjoy playing the guitar. It just doesn’t happen as frequently as I’d like. I love to cook as well but still a lot to learn though.. It’s such an art, and I’m also a bit nerdy so I do a little online gaming.
Seems like it doesn’t stop here since there is more to come from Virile, the team and Adam Reyes.
I’ll be working towards the launch of our Daily Shampoo and Conditioner as well as our Double Edge Safety Razor and Badger Hair Brush. I couldn’t tell you exactly when but hoping mid to late summer for the launch of those products. We have plans for future shop with interesting concepts unlike we’ve done yet but not in any particular time to get that accomplished.
