When looing to enhance your style, focusing on timeless fashion is a great starting point. Timeless fashion is something which isn’t going out of trend anytime soon, so your going to playing things pretty safe. This two part series is going to help you establish a timeless wardrobe, and will get the ball rolling for the style concious. Today at Pinstripe Magazine, we’re going to be covering part 1, sharing with you some great timeless pieces which you can implement into your wardrobe to enhance your style straight away. Focusing on outerwear, these pieces are great starting blocks.
The Blazer
A blazer is a must have for any mans wardrobe. Adding elegance, it can be worn in a variety of ways. If you want to wear it to a formal event, layer it over a buttoned down shirt with a tie. If you’re after more of a casual touch, layer it over a simple t-shirt and roll the sleeves up. A blazer is timeless and it can be utilized in so many ways. A great tip is to keep the bottom button undone, buttoning just the top 1 or 2 buttons (dependent on the blazer.) Here’s some photos of guys utilizing the blazer in a good manner.
The Coat
A must have for any wardrobe, a coat is going to be the top layer so it’s going to be a statement piece. Now focusing on styles, the trench coat is going to add elegance and a stylish touch. A trench coat has been around since the beginning of the war, so it doesn’t look like its going to be going out of fashion anytime soon! Other styles are the quilted jacket, along with the duffle coat. All of these are timeless pieces, and you should look to implement them into your wardrobe. Remember the coat is a statement piece, so go for quality and go for design!
Ties
Everyone owns at least 1 tie right? Ties are timeless, and the perfect accessory to add to any look. It’s going to add automatic elegance and you can utilize a tie to add colour to a look. Skinny ties are extremely popular currently, with the thin look adding more of a tailored approach. Vintage ties again show the timeless potential, with high quality manufactured ties lasting decades. A tie is the most timeless accessory a man can own… its a fact.
