The Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone is here and it’s all about sharing.
The demand for a larger screen size and functionality has grown with a fire since many people use their smartphones to do their daily tasks, such as email, paying bills, web surfing and take pictures and video, it’s become an all in one device. Oh yea, it also makes phone calls!
The Samsung Galaxy S III sports a large 4.8-inch AMOLED HD screen, just smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Note which has a 5.3 inch screen. The Samsung Galaxy S III has lunged forward for the time being of iPhone in terms of screen size, hardware and functionality, but with Apple’s iPhone 5 announcement on the cusp, and iOS 6 on the horizon it will be interesting to see the comparison.
Lets get into the specs. As we already mentioned the Galaxy S III comes with a 4.8 inch AMOLED HD screen with a resolution of 1280×720, laid inside the polycarbonate shatterproof casing that measures 5.4 inches tall by 2.8 inches wide and 0.34 inches in thickness. Fashioned with 2nd gen Gorilla Glass 2 and pleasant rounded edges, the Samsung Galaxy S III feels like a nice unit in hand. The device is a bit light and may not appeal to everyone, but if it were heavier you might not like the weight in your pocket coupled with it’s size.
The Samsung Galaxy S III comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich, a 8 megapixel camera with continuous shooting ability, 4G LTE compatible, dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM memory. They come in black, ceramic white, pebble blue with 16 and 32 GB flavors. Hardware for a GPS unit, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 4.0 are all included to make your Samsung Galaxy SIII the best it can be.
