SPURR showed off their Spring 2010 collection last week and we saw the brand take a dynamic approach to this line with an innovative use of color and romantic styling. Unbuttoned shirts are coupled with double flowers in suit lapels exemplifying the chic yet relaxed confidence of the modern man.
Inspired by vintage Helmut Newton photographs, the suits for Spring ’10 embrace a traditional silhouette, with a slim leg pant, as well as a more avant‐garde cut with a wide leg pant. Pastel shirting and luxurious wool/silk combinations make the suiting reminiscent of the 1960’s while flyweight nylon trench coats off set this levity by echoing the ultramodern of the 1970s.
The SPURR man is an elegant and intelligent individual who carries himself with grace in both his movement and his manner. It is the use of enlivened colors, romantic designs and classic construction that give SPURR’s Spring 2010 collection its indisputably edgy yet consistently sophisticated aesthetic.
