When Sony Ericsson first released its X10, it was a pretty impressive go at being a good Android phone, offering a large screen. Loads of social networking applications as well as using a version of Google’s fast growing Operating System Android 1.6
However, by the time the X10 came out, the Android 1.6 System was already growing defunct, its programs were slow and glitchy, and it only reached an upgrade of Android 2.1 while other smartphones were way ahead. However, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc does away with the X10’s faults. Not only does it run on the newest Android 2.3.2, but there’s no doubt that the phone is extremely sleek and stylish. For a single core processor it is pretty reasonably priced at 430 pounds sim card free. The phone weighs a feather weight 117 grams. Much lighter than its rival, the Google Nexus S which weighs 129 grams. The phone is a touch screen with a 4.2 inch screen. Its physical controls are all a solid silvery plastic which has an extremely bright LED light that can shimmer through the keys so that you can see what you’re typing in the dark.
One thing that is most attractive about this phone is its bright and sharp screen resolution because of Sony Ericsson’s reality display technology. IN other words, there is no ugly pixilation of images on the phone.
Compared to the XPERIA Play and XPERIA Neo, we’d say that this is the best out of the three.
