Samsung Introduces Gear S2, Gear S2 Classic, Gear S2 3G and a New Design. Samsung introduces the new line of wearable tech smartwatches. In Samsung fashion, they are releasing 3 new Gear S2’s in the wild the Gear S2, Gear S2 Classic and the Gear S2 3G.
The new circular design of the Gear S2 brings the wearable tech closer to a traditional watch design. The Gear S2 features a unique rotating bezel along with physical Home and Back buttons for quick and agile use.
The Samsung Gear S2 Classic features an elegant Black finish with a genuine black leather band that offers that timeless traditional watch design while the Gear S2 features a more modern but slick minimalist design that will remain timeless for years to come.

The Gear S2 vary slightly in size at 42.3×49.8mm and Gear S2 Classic 39.9×43.6mm, while both measure 11.4 millimeters in depth appropriate for everyday casual wear and formal dress alike. A 1.2 inch circular Super AMOLED screen displays 360×360 resolution at 302 PPI and features the latest Samsung Tizen OS. Powered by a 1GHz dual core CPU, the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic tote 4GB of flash storage along with 512MB of RAM and is IP68 Certified dust and water resistant and supports 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC ability. Inside the sensor array includes an Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Heart Rate, Ambient Light and a Barometer.
The Gear S2 3G variant, also IP68 Certified Dust and Water Resistant totes the same 1.2″ Circular Super AMOLED screen, Dual core 1GHz CPU along with 4GB of flash memory and 512MB of RAM along with a Wireless Charging 300mAh Li-ion battery. It measures 44.0 x 51.8 x 13.4mm and weighs just 51g.
The Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic will be showcased September 3rd, with partners in Tempodrum, Berlin.
