Samsung Announces Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. Samsung announced their latest and greatest new devices the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. The new devices are streamlined and slick with their 7000 series brushed aluminum bodies but they don’t just look good. The Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 are packing some nice hardware under the hood including 4GB of RAM, AC wireless connectivity and wireless charging and a Quad HD Super AMOLED display to boot.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Note 5 are both equipped with the Samsung LSI Exynos 7420 4xA57 @ 2.1GHz , 4xA53 @ 1.5GHz cpu with 4GB of LPDDR4 Ram in 32/64GB flavors. Both phones feature the identical 16MP rear camera and 5MP front and 3000 mAh battery, Android 5.1. The new phones also use NanoSIM cards and support 2×2 802.11a/b/g/n/ac + BT 4.2, USB2.0, GPS/GNSS, NFC connectivity. The Galaxy S6 edge+ measures in at 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm and weighs 153 grams while the Galaxy Note 5 measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm weighing 171 grams. Both devices are slick and super thin with a smaller footprint to make it easier for smaller hands to hold the larger screen size.
Aside from that the Note 5 features a S-Pen or stylus which seats inside the phone like it’s predecessors and the Galaxy S6 edge+ features a 5.7-inch 2560×1440 SAMOLED Dual edge display. Both devices support wireless charging and yes they have no microSD expansion port. Ultra fast wireless charging from zero to hero in 90 minutes, full charged.
