Ok, I think its official, we have no other movie techniques or creatures or ideas to make any more horror movies out of. I don’t know where those Japanese manage to make the most gruesome and scariest movies ever, but I want to take that bag of tricks to the bank.
The new movie “Troll Hunter” is supposed to be set in Norway where there are freakishly huge Trolls that manage to stay hidden in a forest. Given their size, very few have seen them which makes absolutely no sense at all. It is made in that typical mockumentary version with the shaky camera (like we’ve never seen that before).
Well, I haven’t seen the movie yet, but given my experience with the other horror movies I’ve seen (and I have seen quite a few), there already seems like there isn’t much to this horror movie as well. Here’s what producer/director Chris Columbus has to say about his radical brain child.
“Troll Hunter is a visceral, thrilling, cinematic rock and roller coaster ride of a movie. Visually, there are scenes in this film that American audiences have never seen. We want to introduce an international audience to this amazing movie going experience,”
Hm, anyways, here’s the trailer for it, I think it should be out sometime soon, oh and did is say that it was a Norwegian production as well? No? Ok, it is Norwegian and here is the Troll Hunter trailer with English subtitles.
