If you are a businessman living in a big city and have been considering cycling to work, but are afraid your suit or blazer will get wrinkled or messed up, well we have the solution for you. Check out this lapelled sport jacket tailored for cycling from Rapha Performance Roadwear.
The Lapelled Jacket combines semi-formal tailoring with technical fabrics and features. The main body of the jacket is made from an easy-care, cotton-nylon blend that includes Elastane for great stretch. The fabric is lightweight, quick-drying and dirt-resistant and creases will stretch out easily. Twin vents in the shoulders ensure great reach on the bike and the flexible nature of the fabric also means that it will shape to your body when riding. Off the bike it will return to a more relaxed, deconstructed look. The jacket is single-breasted and has single cuff buttons – a trademark of quality tailoring – each finished with debossed Rapha logotype.
Technical features include a storm collar, which is finished with hi-vis tape for extra visibility when fastened. The back of the jacket has a vertical pocket with a bonded zip, while inside the jacket is lined with a Rapha sprocket print and features routing loops for an iPod cable. The jacket also has two internal breast pockets, both with laser-cut button closures, and an additional zipped valuables pocket. Pick it up mid January for $450 at the San Francisco and London Rapha stores.
