In February, we brought you Pinstripe Magazine’s 10 Best Movies of 2011. We’re back to bring your attention to some of Pinstripe Magazine’s Top Movies for Guys in 2012.  Every guy enjoys a good movie, whether you want to blow off steam watching war movies, conquer kingdoms and contend with the forces of good and evil or just crack up watching goofball comedies with the guys.  Here are some of the top movies for guys to see in 2012.

Total Recall: A spin on the 1990 Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone. As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he’s a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he’s on. Starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bokeem Woodbine, Jessica Biel, John Cho, Ethan Hawke and Directed by Len Wiseman. Expected for release in theaters August 3rd 2012.The Avengers, 2012

The Avengers: The Avengers picks up somewhere between Iron man and Thor but after Captain America and close to X-Men but wherever the timeline, the creators have been brewing this for quite some time.  Trailing scenes or short appearences with Samuel L. Jackson, as Nick Fury, recruiting all the superheros have been included in Iron Man I & II, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L Jackson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Directed by Joss Whedon. Expected for release in theaters May 4th 2012.

The Dark Knight Rises: The sequel The Dark Knight continues on the path of the batman novels, dark, vengeful and ultimately human, subject to all the emotions and conflicts we all face. The Dark Knight Rises brings us to 8 years after Batman has been setup to take the fall for 2 crimes that deem him a new terrorist leader in the eyes of the city. Batman rises to help protect Gothem who considers him part of the enemy and a criminal. Starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Directed by Christopher Nolan. Expected for release in theaters July 20th, 2012.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey; Bilbo Baggins, Frodo, Gandalf, Saruman, Gollum all return in The Hobbit, taking place before the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, bringing Bilbo and his band of Dwarves to reclaim treasure stolen by the Dragon Smaug. Their quest to reclaim their stolen treasure leads them on a treachorous journey fighting Goblins, Orcs, Wargs, Giant Spikers, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers along the way. A band of 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, their adventures eventually bring them to the goblin tunnels where Bilbo first meets Gollum. Can’t wait to see this! Starring Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Ian Mckellen, Christopher Lee, Ian Holm & Directed by Peter Jackson. Expected for release in theaters December 14th 2012.

Spider-Man and Lizard play the forces of good and evil . Starring Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary, Stan Lee, Rhys Ifans and Directed by Marc Webb. Expected for release in theaters July 2012.

Expected for release in theaters June 8th 2012.
