The Play: 3 Hi-Fi Stereo System, By Sonos

There‘s probably already a chance that you might have seen the Play: 3 by Sonos all thanks to the internet, but its finally official that the hi-fi stereo system by Sonos is about to hit the shelves as well. There is a trio of digital drivers in the relatively compact chassis, two mid range and one tweeter.

There are also three class D digital amps. Unlike its predecessor, the Play: 5, there are absolutely no active sub woofers on it but they have a bass radiator that can add surprising amounts of depth in their sound given the fact that they are tiny shelf systems. These little demons cost $299 but still require an additional bridge that is about $49 in order to be able to deliver that quality of music that it intends to give. Once the system is in place, then you can add on more Play: 3s in order to separate those all important right and left channels. There is even a built-in accelerometer which manages to switch automatically from mono to standard and even tweaks the equalizer settings when the speaker is turned towards onto its side. From what we’ve seen of it, it is able to carry out crisp and clear quality even at surprisingly high neighbor annoying volumes. But, we’ll let you be the judge, so go out and check it out yourself.
