Pioneer Art Mix Tour Event NYC, A Goal to Inspire

On June 23, 2011 I had the pleasure of attending the Pioneer DJ Art Mix Gallery event which was held at Twelve 21 Gallery in NYC. There’s nothing like seeing several global DJ’s and talented Urban artists create such artistic vitality. Most of the collaborative work was expressed on a Pioneer CDJ-2000 and included several mix mediums of music, movement, painting, graffiti, acrylic and most importantly courageous men with a goal to inspire. It was truly an event that encouraged positive awareness to benefit the VH1 Save the Music foundation. The event featured the following prominent artists: BT, Steve Aoki, Crystal Method, Bob Haro, George Thompson, Jesse Graves, Joe Hahn, Man One, Ritzy Periwinkle, ROSTARR, Tommy Lee & DJ Aero and lastly Victor “Marka27″ Quiñonez.

If you are planning to attend the show, expect to see a mixture of work by visionary artists such as Crystal Method and Grammy nominated artist BT. These talented men simply came together to bring musical awareness, inspiration and passion to our communities. I name this event The art of modern expression, because to me the pieces spoke with a collage of attached elements that uniquely mirrored the artist’s source of strength, masculinity and their creative/musical inspirations.

The Pioneer DJ Art Mix Tour, pioneerdjusa.com/artmix/ , event will be displayed in various cities near you, so take part of this artistic event. Keep in mind that all the CDJ-2000 canvases will be auctioned off in August 2011 to benefit the VH1 Save the Music foundation which plays a vital role in restoring  instrumental music education in America’s public schools. See some cool pictures of the artwork below.
