Nautica creative director Chris Cox offered up an appealing, if somewhat predictable, collection of cheery, modern classics in an array of vivid colors, such as the bright yellow, orange or deep blue jackets and anoraks done in technical fabrics. Cox noted he was particularly influenced by a recent trip to Monterey, Calif., resulting in coral cotton trench coats and cream cotton sweaters matched with slim-fit white jeans. Another delivery focused on romantic washed-out hues in linen suits and chambray shirts. Swimsuits were a key category, as always, while bags were fashioned from sailcloth and shorts with embroidered semaphore flags added a playful, preppy touch.
