Motorola Droid X2, and Boy is it Fast

Verizon Wireless has just released the Motorola Droid X2. It has a lot to offer including a high resolution display as well as a dual core processor. Presently it sells for about 200 bucks. But without a contract from Verizon, it sells for a steep $450.

With regards to its build and design, the X2 is almost the same as its predecessor that was released last summer. It has the same width, same dimensions and even the same weight. The only way that one can tell the difference is if you actually see the model name at the back of the battery cover. So as far as looks are concerned, there is not much difference from its older counterpart.

At one point of time, the Motorola Droid models were considered as one of the top contenders as far as smart phones with big screens were concerned, but with the advent of models like the Infuse or the Dell Streak, They rank as a mediocre smart phone now. However, it has a huge screen spanning 4.3 inches and an upgrade from the WVGA (800 x 400) resolution to the cutting edge qHD (960 x 540) resolution, a small computer. These resolution definitions are quite visible when viewing zoomed in web pages and looking at icons.

As far as performance goes, I have already mentioned that it comes with a dual core processor, and boy is it fast. You can really see the difference that it has from its predecessor. If processor power is important to you, then this one definitely outperforms the Droid X by a 2:1 margin.

Apart from the processor speed, the Droid X2 doesn’t offer anything that’s extremely revolutionary and can just be considered an upgrade rather than an update. This is because it offers just a bit more software and a lot more speed. Otherwise the Droid X2 has the same wireless options as well as the same specs in the same way as the previous Droid did.
