Evolved from the 4-year-old 51 Power, the new Maxi Dolphin MD53 Power is as sleek, durable, and accommodating to customization as its forerunner. The hull features indented air intakes amidships and a rounded forefoot at the bow. Both of those design elements help the vessel remain stable and move efficiently on rough, deep-sea waters. The owner of the first $1.6 million MD53 Power, who employs it as a tender for his 164-foot yacht, equipped the boat with the standard twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines that give it a top speed of 36 knots. The owner also chose a below-deck layout that includes a single stateroom, a dinette, a galley, and two heads.
