Lotus Evora S the ‘S’ for sick
The ‘s’ in the Evora S doesn’t really stand for sick but what it does stand for is sport. The classic 2+2 coupe style layout of the Evora already has a powerful 276 horsepower at 6400 rpm with 258 foot lbs of torque at 4600 rpm, giving a 0-62 mph or 0-100 kph in 5.9 secs, with a top speed of 163 mph at a curb weight of 1383 kg or approx 3050 lbs. The ‘s’ for Sick, or Sport as it were, gives you 345 hp at 7000 rpm with 295 lb. ft at 4500 rpm which gives you a 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 178mph or 286kph and comes in slightly heavier at approx 3170 lbs or 1437 kgs.
The Lotus Evora S is powered by an ALL alloy, 3.5 litre DOHC V6 VVTi, 24-valvue with Harrop HTV 1320 Supercharger, a mid-mounted, transverse, rear wheel drive-train with Lotus Electronic Throttle Control System. Bi-Xenon headlamps allow you maximum vision as you drive with choice of either a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic with IPS, Intelligent Precision Shift transmission.
Lotus has come a long way from the days of the Espirit of the 80s. Bilstein high-performance gas dampers front and rear coupled with Eibach coilovers all around with 18″ front and 19″ rear rims wearing Pirelli P-zero 225/40 ZR18 and 255/35 ZR19 shoes respectively help you stay glued to the road surface as you scream along in utter enjoyment. Stopping power for the Lotus Evora S are provided by AP Racing 4-piston calipers all around with servo assisted ventilated discs 350 mm front and 332 mm rear, cross-drilled.
