Lamborghini Aventador back like a Raging Bull

The Lamborghini Aventador is back like a Raging Bull

Last year Lamborghini celebrated their 50th birthday. Like their cars, it was done in style. Five Aventador Roadsters flying down Miami airport’s runway quicker than a jet at take-off speed. You would think that would be it for the Aventador. Done. No better can ever come of it. It had reached its pinnacle. Faster than a Boeing 777. The Italian supercar manufacturer had other ideas…

Enter the Aventador Nazionale.

Lambo revealed the new model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the new LP 700-4 has been enhanced by the exclusive Ad Personam personalization and extra paintwork that are not only patriotic, but incredibilmente bello (that’s incredibly beautiful).

Of course, that’s unsurprising. It’s impossible to imagine a Lamborghini that doesn’t have the style and grace of Sophia Loren, and with a name like Nazionale, the Italian flag is undoubtedly going to feature.

It somehow manages to be subtle yet stands out with all the national pride of the boot-shaped country.

And it’s the same on the inside. The Italian theme continues, with rich Azzuri blue lining the seats and the flag continuing across the roof but replaced with luxury leather.

But for all the stylish and sophisticated interior, it has the performance to boot.

The Volkswagen owned company have certainly adopted the ‘if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach, with the model having the exact same spec as its predecessor. Although the previous Aventador is Bruce Wayne’s car of choice in The Dark Knight Rises, and if it’s good enough for Batman…

The Caped Crusader isn’t the only one who has enjoyed the supercar however, with former WBA Heavyweight Champion of the World David Haye recently taking a spin as part of the Rush Lamborghini Challenge.

The challenge pitted the 700 brake horsepower against Haye to see how many games of rush poker he could play in a lap of Rockingham Speedway. Haye unsurprisingly did 12 rounds. The Lambo could have topped 217mph and 0-62 of those in just 2.9 seconds.

It goes without saying these are only minor changes to the previous model. But do we feel any different aging from 50 to 51. Sure we are a little older. A little wiser. We probably feel like we may need to sit down a little more. The Aventador is just that. It’s a little older, it’s made the subtle change from 50 to 51. Like Clooney, it’s grown a beard, become even more effortlessly stylish, oh, and it certainly isn’t doing any sitting down.
