HTC 10 New Flagship Smartphone
The HTC 10 new flagship smartphone was unveiled last evening in NYC. Built with customer feedback in mind and unibody design cut from a single piece of metal, the HTC 10 aims to cater to the wants and needs of the consumer.
Follow up to the HTC One M9 and HTC One A9, the new HTC flagship features a redesigned world-class camera with gold-standard audio, sleek new unibody design and upgraded hardware to support it’s improved performance. Though the HTC 10 does not carry with it the Mil-STD 810G rating but it has been engineered to deal with everyday bumps, scratches and drops gracefully. Over 168 hours of extreme temperature tests and over 10,000 drop, bend, scratch and corrosion tests were performed to ensure that the device is ready for the front lines.
Sporting a new 5.2 inch, Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels, 564 pixels per inch) Super LCD 5 with curved-edge Gorilla Glass, the HTC 10 measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 3.0 – 9.0mm and weighs just 161 grams. The device feels solid in hand and build and production quality seems spot on.
The HTC 10 comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-core 64-bit 2.2Ghz CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, the integrated microSD card slot allows for up to an additional 2TB of storage with memory card.
The HTC’s new main gun features a 12MP UltraPixel 2 (1.55μm pixel size) with laser focus, Dual ton LED flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Recording video quality includes up to 4k video with hi-res audio and slow motion at 720p at 120fps. Auto-HDR as well as Panorama and Pro 12-bit RAW format still image support with continuous shooting up to 8fps.
