In meshing Italian design and Swedish know-how, Hasselblad designed it’s first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.  Known for their high-end medium format cameras, Hasselblad integrates carbon fiber, titanium, precious metals, leather and even wood into their signature design to create their new state-of-the-art luxury camera that is set to launch first quarter 2013. They don’t plan on stopping there, they have announced plans to build a new DSLR camera, compact camera as well as tripods, bags and accessories.

In a press release, Hasselblad Chairman and CEO Dr. Larry Hansen:
“The region we have chosen for this new centre of design excellence is home to many high-tech manufacturers, including those working in the watch, high end automobile and aerospace industries.”

“We plan to capitalize on having the best of both worlds with this new Italian centre and our traditional Swedish camera manufacturing expertise.”
