Summer is almost coming to an end and you want to grow new grass?! OK, so if you didn’t plant your grass seeds for your lawn in the fall last year you still have time to grow some healthy green grass.
Grow New Grass
Unfortunately, I was one of those victims that didn’t get to plant his grass on time. However, after getting the Scotts Elite Spreader and Gro Garden Sprinkler Kit my grass is finally here to enjoy just in time before summer ends.
Anyone with a big backyard and lawn will appreciate the Scotts Elite Spreader since it cuts your time in half when spreading grass seeds or grass food. When winter comes you can use this spreader to also spread salt for those snowy days.
Scotts Elite Spreader’s dual rotors lets you spread more with a 6 ft. spread pattern, which means you make less passes across your yard, saving you time. The large hopper holds up to 20,000 sq. ft. of Scotts lawn product. The ergonomic handle provides comfort, while featuring a smartphone holder so you can FaceTime, chat with friends or watch videos while spreading seeds or salt depending the season. The 10-inch tires are foam filled, so they won’t ever go flat.

Now that you have spread your seeds the next step is to water your lawn. If you need to learn how to plant grass seed in your new lawn from the beginning to end then click here.
Watering your lawn can become time consuming if you do not have any sprinkler in place. However, getting sprinklers installed are expensive and needs to be done right especially when it comes to installing the electricity part of it. This is why we suggest the gro garden sprinkler kit. This kit is so easy to use and install.
After receiving my sprinkler kit, I couldn’t wait to open the package to see what was inside. Every single part makes it so simple for one to connect the tubing, accessories, sprinkler and your own hose. What I appreciated the most though was the quick connect accessory adapter, which made it easier to hook up my spray nozzle without disconnecting everything.
Once I finished connecting and staking down my tube, I was ready to run the sprinkler. The only disappointment was that the sprinkler itself doesn’t rotate 360˚. It only rotates side to side, therefore I didn’t stake it or nail it down and I first watered one side and then flip the sprinkler to water the other side to get the maximum reach. This however, still saves me time instead of me just standing or walking around with my water hose watering every single plant, vegetables, trees and grass.
To make my job even easier I am thinking about getting the Potted Drip Kit and fro Garden Sprayer Kit to make sure every single bit of my backyard is watered correctly. So, do not forget to water your grass regularly the first two weeks until you see at least 2 inches of grass growing and with the garden sprinkler kit your life just got better.
Thanks to Scotts for making these great products and cutting down my time when taking care of my lawn.
