Get ready for the iPhone 5! It’s been confirmed, the iPhone 5 launch event is to be held September 12th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Timing couldn’t be better for Apple with their victory over Samsung being awarded 1.05 billion for patent infringement and more to follow it looks like. Samsung is in talks with Apple as we speak, it will be interesting to see the outcome of all of this.
Apple reported 26 million iPhone units last quarter alone between the 3GS, iPhone 4 and 4s. These figures of course do not include the sales for past sales and of the iPhone 5 launch anticipated to be announced in about a week on Sept 12th 2012.
The new Apple iPhone 5 is rumored to have a 4.2 inch screen, still smaller than the Samsung Galaxy SIII‘s 4.8 inch screen. A thinner body, more memory, redesigned buttons and ports along with 4G wireless support are to accompany the new iPhone 5 smartphone device.
