I had previously written an article on some formals which may not be too chunky to wear during the summer, so I’ve decided to do one on formal shoes as well, I know that some of these, if not all, might seem a little semi-formal but no one said that semi formals at an all formal event is a crime. Besides I personally believe that any guy can get more looks on semi formals than in straight forward formal clothing.
Well, first and foremost I’d like to introduce you to these magical boots from Opening Ceremony. These sweet M1 desert boots come in an awesome suede look. I’ve always been a sucker for thin soles on semi formal shoes which is why I think these shoes add such distinction. When worn with the correct corduroy pants and a short shirt, you will be the one owning the sidewalk. Besides I’ve noticed that they have a tendency to give people with bigger feet a less bulky look. These muthas are available online.
The reason why I’ve always loved Cole Haan, is because of their contemporary nature to give their own modern twist to retro looks. They also bring an intelligent and quirky mix of canvas, leather and suede with most of the shoes showing a two tone colorway. I also love the amazing perforations and beautiful stitching which give it that nice ‘30’s look. These sweet vintages will be available online shortly and at select retail stores.
It took me quite a while to understand whether I like these shoes or not, but I must say that yes, I most definitely love them. These iconic loafers from Mark Mcnairy are made along with Bass Weejun. I love everything about it from the brown color to the tassels in the front. With its scotch grain leather and 360 degree lacing system, as well as its rubber soles, these shoes reek of quality all the way.
