Duckie Brown presented a well-edited lineup that was innovative enough to be interesting without going over the edge into the dippy, as can sometimes happen with designing duo Steven Cox and Daniel Silver. They adorned organza puffer jackets and shorts with elegant rose prints in hues of pinks and purples to sophisticated, graceful effect. But they offset that prettiness with monochromatic nylon bombers paired with nylon trousers multipleated to provide volume and depth to the silhouette. Waxed cotton for parkas and a contemporary tweed fabric for T-shirts and shorts exhibited an interesting play of textures, adding up to one of the label’s most appealing spring shows.
