Audi R8 GT Spyder, No Manual Transmissions Offered

Audi has officially released its new model of an open-air version of the VT10 super car, the R8 GT Coupe. The R8 GT Spyder. Just like its counterpart, the Spyder uses a hard top 552 horsepower 400 lb ft. torque 5.2LV10. The Audi R8 GT Spyder, no manual transmissions offered. Instead a versatile r-tronic Six-speed automated manual transmission is one size fits all. The company also boasts of its pick up from 0-62 in 3.8 seconds and then carrying on for a speed of up to 197 mph.

The power is routed to all four wheels through the Audi’s six gear R-tronic gear box.   This Audi car may feel like a rear wheel drive car, this is because of the 15/85 torque ratio that the car sports between its front and back wheels. It will plant you to your seat plenty.

The R8 GT Spyder weighs almost 187 pounds lesser than a normal car. This is because of its fixed rear wind, carbon fiber liftback, upgraded brakes, a new front windshield, and reduced sound deadening.

The R8 GT Spyder sports a black Alcantara, but prospective buyers can also opt for the Black Nappa leather. In order to break the uniformity of  all black that the car sports, It comes with a choice of titanium grey or crimson red accents.

Despite the car’s reputation of being suited for the track, it packs in plenty of comforts such as DVD based satellite navigation, an automatic air conditioning system, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Audi has yet to decide the price range for the R8 GT Spyder, but we can expect it to be something a little more 200,000 dollars. This is a limited edition sports car and Audi will only produce 333 of the R8 GT Spyder.
