Last week was the second year Fashion and Beauty Week took place in the beautiful Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. This year’s event was to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute, which leads the world in cure-focused research. This of course was all brought to you by a man who cares to make a difference through fashion and beauty, Mr. Jack Panico.
Emerging and established designers from New Jersey and New York and beyond showed their collection on Monday and Tuesday. Designers showing off their Spring 2012 line were the following: Ari, Bound + Tide, Dolce Vita, Devon Thomas, Monique Lhuillier, Teresa Rosati, and Theia, Jay Godfrey, Jensen Martin, Marisa Kenson, Pamela Dennis, Sandra Baquero, Esposito, and William Rast. Two designers that caught our eyes were menswear designer Ari-Soho and bikini designer Bound + Tide.
Nestled in New York City’s fashion neighborhood, Soho, Ari has been designing and styling handmade and made-to-measure Italian suits for over fifteen years and has acquired a strong local and European base clientele. Every Ari suit is carefully handcrafted with an elegant, comfortable, and light fit for each client. In addition to finely crafted bespoke suits, Ari offers a range of high quality men’s clothing, from suits and sports jackets to casual pants, leather, knits, outerwear, accessories and more, which cater to an athletic fit. Celebrities like Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Ryan Lochte, along with many wallstreeters, embrace Ari’s aggressively masculine designs.
Focusing primarily on swimwear, Bound + Tide is made up of highly editorial expressions that cannot be missed! Each design conjures up an emotion. The Resort 2012 launch focuses on the core product with the addition of crossover sportswear silhouettes carrying this brand from pool/beach to al fresco and night club.
