Take a Walk

While it isn’t as strenuous as a long jog or heavy weightlifting session, taking a walk is a great way to unwind while increasing your cardiovascular endurance. Unless you live in an area unsuitable for walking, find a local path or nature park where you can enjoy the sights. With walking, you increase your cardiovascular and pulmonary function, reduce your risk of certain diseases, and improve your mental well-being. Going outside releases serotonin and dopamine, two feel-good hormones that regulate emotional well-being and exposes you to much-needed vitamin D. You’ll see that even a relaxing stroll around the neighborhood does wonders for your mood.

Wash Your Car

You may also use this time to wash your car. If you’ve meant to wash your car for some time, the weekend is the best time to do so. Remember to do it right so you don’t destroy your paint. Aside from getting the proper cleaning supplies together, like car soap, wash buckets, and microfiber cloths, wash your car’s wheels before moving onto the top and bottom exterior. Avoid washing directly in sunlight, as this can leave water spots. Also, use dry microfiber cloths to avoid scratching the paint. If you notice scratches, invest in some touch up paint to make your car look as good as new.

Talk With Friends

Everyone needs a person they can rely on sometimes. Talking with friends, family, or other loved ones is one of the most relaxing weekend activities for guys. It allows you to decompress after a long week from school, work, or life. Everyone goes through things in their daily lives, and talking with friends is one of the best social avenues. They’re there for you at your highs and lows and can offer constructive support or an ear to listen. More so, talking to people increases your sense of belonging, purpose, happiness, and overall self-confidence and self-worth.

Binge Some Shows or Movies

It’s OK to spend this time catching up on your favorite shows or movies. The weekend is yours for however you see fit. Use this time to watch all the latest top-trending shows and movies on your streaming channels. With many different platforms to choose from, there are endless possibilities and countless hours. Watch alone or with friends or family with your favorite food or drink for a more enjoyable experience.

Play Video Games

Alternatively, use this time to play video games. Video games help you relax, vent out frustrations, and engage in cognitive stimulation. They also improve visual-spatial patterns, problem-solving, social connection, imagination, and brain dexterity.
