Fall is upon us and it is time for lots of fun outdoor activities. What this means is that you now need certain clothes, shoes or gadgets to make your outdoor experiences enjoyable. Here are Pinstripe’s top 10 outdoor gear needed in 2018.
1. Nite Ize Radiant 750 Rechargeable Bike Light
I love taking my mountain bike out in the fall and feel the wind on my face as I am going down the hills. However, after a long day and riding back home in the dark suburbs the Nite Ize Radiant 750 sure comes in handy. It has three modes: high, low & day-safe flash. You can attach this rechargeable bike light on the front handlebar of your bike or helmet.Nite Ize Radiant 750 Rechargeable Bike Light
What makes this bike light attractive is the fact that it is Powered by a high-grade lithium ion battery, which can be recharged in approximately 3.5 hours for a nearly endless number of times. The intensely bright Radiant 750 will keep up on all those morning and evening commutes.
2. Showers Pass outfit
The best wardrobe to wear when biking is definitely a shower pass outfit. Who is Showers Pass you asked? They are a clothing and gear company based out of Portland, Oregon that make apparel to get everyone out on their bikes no matter what the weather is like. That is why on weather like this week I am wearing shower pass from head to toe.
My three favorite Showers Pass items, which are not only stylish but functional are their Men’s Hi-Line Merino Short Sleeve Shirt, IMBA Shorts and Metro Jacket. The henley short sleeve shirt is made out of Merino Wool blended fabric, which provides antimicrobial protection from odors, natural breathability and stretch for comfort during aerobic activities.
Showers Pass’ IMBA Shorts fit flawlessly and feel fantastic. Featuring an adjustable waist cinch and stretch articulation on the hips and lower back, these shorts provide a personalized fit on any body type. Some other features of these shorts are their adjustable waist cinch and stretch articulation on the hips and low back for the perfect custom fit, on or off the trail. Two thigh vents offer enhanced cooling when temperatures rise; back zippered pocket and right-hand zippered pocket are also included and reflective accents of the sides provide low-light visibility.
Raining outside but you still want to go biking then the Metro Jacket is ideal when you want your jacket to be waterproof, breathable, offer high performance but not scream CYCLIST. You can see me with this jacket cruising around town on my bike or when running errands by car.
3.TERREX CC Boat Water Sports Shoe
On hot rainy days if feeling daring and taking a short trip on my bike then I’ll wear my Adidas mens Terrex boat water sport shoes. I know they are not meant for biking but they are comfortable, convenient, easy to put on and most importantly they are drainable. What does that mean? The shoes have holes on the bottom so no water is kept inside. So, the Terrex CC Boat shoe is ventilated shoes that drain water.
Did you ever hear that the best time to go fishing is when it’s raining? Well these are the shoes I take when going boat fishing. I do not need to worry about my shoes getting wet since that is what they are meant to do.
These shoes are lightweight and breathable and designed to keep you cool on warm days. The quick-drying upper is made with climacool and has a perforated tongue for breathability. A stretchable heel insert provides a comfortable fit, while the TRAXION outsole grips wet on slippery surfaces.
