If you guys read my post Live like a European then you know I am a big fan of bidets but wouldn’t actually put a basin in my bathroom and waste space. That is why we recommend investing in a luxury toilet seat or the modern bidet, which is Tushy.
The Modern Bidet
I just got back from Turkey and noticed all toilets everywhere I went, stayed or visit had a bidet already installed in the toilet, meaning there wasn’t an extra basin to wash your butt. All the bathrooms had a faucet/knob next to the toilet, which turned on the already installed bidet inside the toilet. I wish we had toilets like that here in the states. Well, we found something very similar to this idea and now I have a very happy butt with Tushy!
Tushy is not an expensive toilet seat with a bunch of stuff you may not need or want but instead it is a unit you install under your toilet seat that acts just like the toilets in Turkey do.
Once installed correctly all you do is the same as above, which is turn a nozzle adjuster on your right to turn on the water of this modern bidet to clean your dirty butt. When turning this nozzle make sure to do it slowly since the first time I tried it I turned the nozzle all the way and the water almost threw me across the room, that’s how powerful it is. Ha!
Tushy is very easy to install and you do not need electricity to run it, which is great! You can also purchase the Tushy Spa, which releases warm water too. When installing make sure to use every part that comes with the unit even the sealer tape to insure a proper fit. I first installed it without the sealer and noticed a leak so we recommend to just use it even if you think you may not need it.
For those who are green conscious you will love the Tushy because it saves you from using toilet paper or a lot of it plus helps save the planet. Instead Tushy recommends using their Tushy Towels. I still prefer to use toilet paper since I like my butt squeaky clean. The good news is that I don’t use that much now as I did before the Tushy. Yes I know TMI 🙂 The Tushy is very powerful, accurate, cleans your butt well, and is definitely the modern bidet that should be installed in every toilet in the US!
