Simple Human Double X-Frame Hamper and Stainless Steel Frame Dishrack Review

You can accessorize and still keep it manly while adding some aesthetic appeal as well as real world functionality with the Steel Frame Dishrack and Double X-Frame Laundry Hamper from Simple Human. Stainless Steel Frame Dishrack
Unfortunately guys the dishes have to get taken care of… The Stainless Steel Frame Dishrack from Simple Human is an excellent addition to your dwelling whether you have a dishwasher or not. Its construction is solid and is much larger in person than it appears measuring 21.8″ x20.2″ x 14.3″ height with the wine glass holder attached. The main body or outer frame is made of stainless steel, while the base of the rack is constructed of hard Hydrophillic coated plastic for quick drying and minimal residue buildup. You all know what your dishrack base looks like after a few weeks or months, eeek!
Inside the base you will find coated wire separators to help organize dishes. The natural bamboo knife block holder is a nice touch inside the utensil tray and also includes an detachable wine glass holder with folding drip tray that hooks up off the rear of the rack. The Bamboo block is only about a half inch in thickness though there’s a plastic lower portion which continues the channels on the bamboo knife block portion but still works none the less.
The extendable drip tray and swivel spout are excellent functional additions to the traditional dishrack. The swivel spout can be directed to 3 sides of the unit while the Drip tray conveniently extends to fill up any gap between your countertop and the sink’s edge, works great! The tray will extend outward securely toward the cup holder side about 4 inches and is removable for easy cleaning.
The tray extension is key but for maximum versatility, it would have been great if the tray guides extended across the entire base so the drip tray could be fully reversed and used on either side of the dishrack with full extension, since it is removable anyway. You can swivel the spout to the back however the tray will not extend in that setup. In our testing we are able to utilize the rack on the left or right side of the sink by simply reversing the location of the utensil holder and rotating the unit around.
The Steel Frame Dishrack carries some weight with it, providing a more stabile experience. You won’t knock it out of place by brushing against it when it’s empty. It uses heavy duty rubber feet to protect your countertop and help keep it from sliding, looks great on the countertop and drainage system is essential for keeping your dishrack base clean. I don’t think I’ve ever had feelings for a dishrack before… Slick fingerprint-proof, brushed stainless steel surfaces are still a winner in my book. Great for home improvement and best dishrack I’ve ever used.
Double X-Frame Laundry Hamper
Unfortunately, so does the laundry… The Double X-Frame Laundry Hamper from Simple Human comes a long way from the traditional mesh or wicker weave hampers you and I probably grew up with. Not only does it look cool, it’s chromed steel frame design is upscale and unbelievably convenient. It comes in either a single or double frame set up that’s great for separating your colors from your whites.
There isn’t much to break. The construction is solid and the pivot points on either side allow the plastic housing to fold in and complete the circle, locking the Double X-Frame in an open position. You can pack this puppy to the hilt with clothes and feel confident that the bag won’t rip when you carry your load down to laundry machine. The Double X-Frame is constructed of heavy-gauge chromed steel for stability and strength while the actual hamper bag portion is made of breathable canvas/mesh and have integrated steel handles that conveniently hang inside the individual steel loops on the steel frame. The base of the unit has 4 thick plastic pads installed to stand on. The Double X-Frame measures 29.2″ W x 16.1″ D x 29.7 H while the single measures 16.1″ W x 20″ D x 29.7″ H.
There isn’t a bad aspect to the Double X-Frame Laundry Hamper that I can find. The design is both sturdy and contemporary. Why fumble with your laundry, this little convenience turns out to be huge over a lifetime of washing clothes. This has to be both aesthetically and functionally the best Hamper I’ve found to date.
