Omega Seamster Aqua Terra, the First Anti-Magnetic Movement watch
Luxury watch company Omega, announced yesterday in Geneva the first Anti-Magnetic Movement watch the world has ever seen, the Omega Seamster Aqua Terra.
Initially developed in the 1950s for employee’s of CERN, a nuclear research facility, the Rolex Miligauss was measured to withstand 1,000 gauss. The Omega Seamster Aqua Terra is a landmark development in watchmaking and the new calibre 8508 is a fully mechanical anti-magnetic movement which is resistant to magnetic fields in excess of 1.5 tesla or 15,000 gauss.
