There’s so much utter crap on TV these days it’s almost unbearable to watch anything, between getting dragged into watching the Bachelor with my girlfriend and episodes of Jersey Shore waived in my face… Still, I love a good tv show when I can get to it when I’m winding down for the evening, thank goodness for DVR.
Here’s a list of our top 10 TV shows for guys:
1. Impractical Jokers on TruTV
Hysterically funny and genuinely ridiculous, follow along as hidden cameras capture 4 friends daring each other into absurd and embarrassing scenarios while they interact with unsuspecting contestants in public places. Laugh along as Brian Quinn, James Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano egg each other into pure hilarity. This is probably one of my favorite shows, I’ve found myself crying from laughing so hard more on more than a few occasions.
2. The Guy Code on MTV2
Need to know about everything from manscaping to man-crushes, wing men and sexting, the rules of drinking, karaoke etiquette, and more? Guy Code will feature today’s top comics, athletes, entertainers, and even some experts to make sure all the players are up to date.
3. Greatest Tank Battles on Military Channel
Greatest Tank Battles is an action-packed 10-part series that brings to life the most gripping and monumental tank battles ever fought. Filmed on battlefields across the world, and using stunning, ultra-realistic CGI animation and eyewitness accounts, this original series puts viewers in the heat of the battles. The compelling first hand interviews of soldiers on the field and the in depth view of these historical events is not to be missed.
4. Top Gear UK on BBC
Yes there’s a Top Gear USA on History channel that isn’t half bad but Top Gear UK takes the cake. Follow along with Jeremy Carkson, Richard Hammond and James May and their follies as they test drive the world’s top supercars and then some. Fun, witty, exciting and technical, Top Gear UK is sure to get your adrenaline pumping with interest.
5. Top Chef on Bravo
Top Chef offers a fascinating window into the competitive, pressure-filled environment of world-class cookery and the restaurant business at the highest level. The series features aspiring chefs who compete for their shot at culinary stardom and the chance to earn the title of Top Chef. Famed chef and restaurant mogul Wolfgang Puck joins as a judge this season, alongside Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Hugh Acheson, and Emeril Lagasse, with Padma Lakshmi returning as host, as 21 cheftestants compete for the Top Chef crown.
6. Top Shot on History Channel
$100,000 prize package and bragging rights as Top Shot and a contract from Bass Pro Shops is at stake. Hosted by Colby Donaldson, Season 4, 18 competitors vying for the Top Shot title represent the broadest range of shooting backgrounds ever featured on the series. From a 21-year-old world-champion pistol shooter to a hardworking high school custodian who makes his own ammunition and spends his spare time at the range, these marksmen and markswomen are determined to aim high. Who can get tired of funny video’s of people getting hurt? Rob Dyrdek hosts along with his sidekicks, Maxim hottie Chelsea Chanel Dudley and Sterling Brim, in front of a studio audience where he presents the most funny viral videos that that he puts into different categories such as “Redneck Good Times,” “Worst Case Scenario” to “What Happened Last Night” and more.
10. The Walking Dead on AMC
In the highly anticipated new season, Rick and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous. The Walking Dead reigns as the most watched drama series on basic cable for Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
