Lenovo is taking orders for the IdeaCenter A720, a 27-inch multitouch experience
It seems more and more, that we as a society are leaning towards a GUI based everything (Graphical User Interface), and with the introduction of tablets and touchscreens it was only a matter of time till someone pushed out a huge fully touch PC and it’s Lenovo! Lenovo is taking orders for the IdeaCenter A720, an all-in-one 27-inch 10-point multitouch PC. Wow that’s a mouthful.
Unveiled earlier this year at CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, the Lenovo A720 sports a 27 inch 10-point multi-touch flat screen. Formally known as the Lenovo IdeaCentre A720, you can’t help but think imac a little with this all-in-one unit but never the less, it’s sleek, sexy, new and shiney.
The Lenovo IdeaCenter A720 offers a brand spanky new Intel Ivy Bridge processor, HD video, Dolby Home Theater along with stereo speakers in addition to it’s nice 27 inch 10-point multi-touch panel and a Blu-ray Disc drive is optional as well as an SSD. The 27-inch multitouch screen allows you to adjust angles from -5 degrees to 90 degrees.
Originally the Lenovo’s base model IdeaCenter A720 was supposed to be released at an aggressively competitive price point of $1,299 but has inflated over these past few months to end up being about $1,849. Add in the TV tuner and more importantly the SSD and your cost will rise over $2,099. The new Lenovo IdeaCenter A720 ships in early June 2012
