2012 NY International Auto Show is here!
I remember when I was about 10 years old, my father brought me to what I thought was just about one of the greatest places to be and the first time I got to sit in a Lamborghini Countach. It was the coolest thing ever. The NY International Auto Show is back at the Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC to the public from April 6th to April 15th, to bring to you the latest and greatest in luxury and performance cars as well as hybrid/battery-cell technology vehicles.
Our staff at Pinstripe Magazine had the opportunity to check out the 2012 NY International Auto Show at the Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC yesterday. Showing off the auto industry’s latest in hybrid and gasoline/petrol cars and some of the worlds coolest new performance cars. A fun day all around, go and check it out while its here!
Whether you’re interested in technology, zero emissions, horsepower, design there’s something for every guy. Run over and check out the beautiful 650hp Shelby Cobra or maybe the Dodge Viper SRT or Challenger SRT are more your speed. Maybe you’re drooling over the Bugatti LP700-4, or other luxury class sports cars and sedans from Porsche, BMW, Bentley, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Mclaren, Lotus, Jaguar, Lexus. Check out the array of fuel efficient, hybrid, electric cars and gasoline/petrol powered cars and trucks from Subaru, Scion, Kia, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota and even test drive a Chevy Volt.
Get a gander into the world of alternative power. What was particularly exciting is a major focus for 2012 in electric and hybrid cars, like Fiskers Atlantic EVer with a built in solar panel roof, a hybrid electric sport luxury sedan with 400-hp, the BMW electric powered 3 series and a return of the Electric powered Delorean! Get up close and personal with concept and prototype cars to come, Jaguars announces the F-Type, Acura NSX prototype and the BMW i8 concept hybrid electric prototype car! Don’t forget to check out the Terrafugia’s street legal airplane at the NY International Auto Show 2012!
The Opening Ceremonies for the NY International Auto Show will commence on Saturday morning April 7th, 2012. The Auto Show is open to the public from April 6th to April 15th and tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children with group discounts and private tours also available. An Early Access Pass is also available for purchase, which will get you in the door at 9am a full hour before the crowds. Doors open for the public at 10 am.
It will be a fun day speaking with the car companies and checking out the latest in form and function for all you car Guys. Clean refreshing lines with new ideas for aesthetics coupled with great advances in technology, particularly in alternative powered cars, was a major focus for this years NY International Auto Show 2012.
