True focus and position system lock assist the Hasselblad overcome the focusing issues with a normal multi-point AF sensor by introducing a modern yaw rate sensor that measures keeps tabs on your angle angular velocity and surfaces in the form of an Absolute Position Lock or APL processor. You attempt to autofocus your frame, but then your subject or area of focus may not always be dead center of the frame, but you find the multi-point AF sensor refocusing to the center. The True Focus and position system lock allows you more versatility and control over the shot and area of focus you want to concentrate on with position lock. The APL processor logs and calculates camera shake/movement and compensates the focus of the shot according to advanced positioning algorithms set by Hasselblad and along with the camera’s firmware, allow you to achieve the vivid, clear, reliable out of the box colors that Hasselblad is known for. Hasselblad offers 11 Auto-Focus lenses with central lens shutter, from 28mm to 300mm, 50-110mm zoom, 35-90mm zoom and a 1.7x converter and with the built-in central lens shutter allows for shutter speeds of 1/800s.
A DAC or Digital Lens Correction system, automatically corrects for both color aberrations and distortions while the integrated electronic spirit level allows you to produce a level horizon line without having to take your eye off the ball. Since often times you may choose to shoot from the hip, a nice added feature is to populate the same information that displays in the camera grip LCD, on the rear LCD as well. A GRL or Global Image Locator is integrated into the system for geo-tagging images taken outdoors with coordinates, time and altitude information which you can use to hook directly into Google Earth.
If your a professional or just trying to aspire to be one, the Phocus software will allow you maximum workflow and image quality and also offers extended camera controls for remote operation, easier live shot set-up and ability to see real-time on your pc what you would see on your camera.
