Here’s a new dry and sarcastic comedy that is sure to get everyone laughing their asses off. Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake star in the upcoming comedy “Bad Teacher”. The film has just finished production and is slated for a release on the 24th of June, 2011. The script is written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and the movie has been directed by Jake Kasdan.
Cameron Diaz plays a poor Chicago area teacher, Elizabeth, who curses at her students, drinks heavily, and takes copious amounts of drugs. She plans to marry her wealthy fiancé, but when he dumps her, she tries to win over substitute teacher Scott (Justin Timberlake), who is also wealthy. Scott’s colleague Amy is also pursuing his affections, while the school’s gym teacher (Jason Segel) is making advances on Elizabeth.
Cameron Diaz plays a hilarious role of acting like the most materialistic and annoying thing that anyone can come across. So, if you’re a fan of chicks showing their boobs and having a recklessly fun time, then I suggest you go for this one. I know I will. Justin Timberlake played a great Sean Parker, (employee of Napster, co-founder of Plaxo and Causes), in “The Social Network” if your a facebook fan, but is again good at playing stupidly funny roles such as this one. Jason Segel seems to be utilizing his role as a comedian fairly well, and is a good change from his persuasive role in “How I Met Your Mother”.
But in the meantime check out the trailer here and see if this sort of humor is the type of comedy that you like. It’s fun, its stupid, and a typical “Don’t give a f—“ comedy.
