New York City is one of the epicenters of the world when it comes to theater, arts, great food, excellent entertainment and things to do. Last night Pinstripe Magazine was there to experience the 2012 New York Wine Expo, which brought some of the finest wines and vendors to one central location right in Manhattan. Enjoy the fun, speak to the top wine makers and winery reps about the history of the wineries, their processes and great flavors.

Dubbed “A Global Adventure in a Glass” and featuring over 150 producers and more than 600 wines from around the world, from Italy to Pennsylvania to the Finger Lakes to South America, Canada, the 2012 New York Wine Expo was indeed a treat you don’t want to miss. Wineries were grouped by region; Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism brought on Vineyards such as Seneca Lake, Keuka Lake, Red Newt Cellars which we loved all their wine but particularly the Cabernet Franc and the Pinot Gris were amongst our favorites.

There is still time to head over there today. Tickets are $75 if you purchase in advance prior to the event, and on event days the price goes up to $85 per person.  An extra $25-$30 gets you a choice of one of their educational and informative tasting tours or maybe wine seminars specific to Greece or Portugal or Italy’s wine is more your speed. You also get to take home the nice wine glass and gift bag items that can collect with you as you brush up on your education or just enjoy the friendly and fun atmosphere throughout the event!
