As far as Ford automakers are concerned they have created the most amazing car ever. Yet again the Mustang has been released as another model. This is the Trans-Am series of the late ‘60’s and ‘70’s version of the car. The car has featured some of the greatest drivers and has established its name as an iconic example of automobile and muscle car. No wonder Ford is so proud of their all new Boss 302.
The 2012 Ford Mustang has been considered nostalgic but has Ford managed its goal of making a modern legend? We are here to see exactly that and hope to be pretty impressed. We can already see that the car takes distinct exterior characteristics from its predecessor, the 1969 Boss 302. This includes its signature C stripe graphics as well as a black hood with more masculine front fascia. The car also has a subtle spoiler at the rear as well as fog light openings that are blocked off by a grille.
As of now, the 2012 Boss 302 model is available in 5 different color tones. These are primarily Kona Blue, Performance White, Competition Orange, Race Red and Yellow Blaze.
The car has an engine of 5.0 liters V8, which can reach a power of 440 horsepower. This is not so impressive given the performance that the Mustang GT had to offer. From the 302 Moniker, Ford only increased its horsepower by 32 which is not much.
All in all, we were looking for a better performer but for a budget Mustang of $41,000 (the Laguna Seca deal goes for an extra $6,995.), we thought this car was pretty nice.
