When the guys at Chrysler were asked if there’s any car out there that their new 2012 300 SRT8 can compete with, their honest reply was that the one car that could truly compete with it was the Cadillac CTS-V. Making such point blank bold judgments is something not too many car companies can do, but then the company under review is Chrysler.
Chrysler have just released the 2012 300 SRT8 which in our opinion is probably one of Chrysler’s finest releases yet. The car boasts of an engine with a capacity of 6.4 liters along with a HEMI V8 punch. Other features of the car include many hours of car suspension tuning, huge Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels and many cosmetic goodies. The car so far looks like a really good sports sedan, but comparing it to Cadillac CTS-V might be a bit too much. After all the CTS-V represents a ideal sports sedan. It’s short in stature, its chassis is lighter, and it’s a lot more expensive.
The exterior of the car again seems very typical of Chrysler. The outside of the SRT8 is characterized by its half inch lower ride height, as well as 20 inch wheels. The front has upper and lower grille which is surrounded by black chrome and daytime LED running lamps.
The interior has standard sports seats that are upholstered in leather and Alcantara. The steering wheel is closely hugged by leather and is a heated SRT one.
Although we really like the car and its comparison with high caliber cars is something that we feel fit for Chrysler quality, we still think that its Charger SRT8 brother makes a better sports sedan as well as an ideal for the circuit track.
