What We Think Of The 2011 Porsche Panamera V6

Porsche released the 2011 Panamera quite some time ago, but we thought we’d wait it out until we got to see it for ourselves. So finally here’s our view of what we think of the 2011 Porsche Panamera V6.

We can start of with the exterior first. The V6 seems like a bruiser that is very long, wide and low. It has a beautifully contoured hood as well as its face is flanked by lunging fenders. The LED headlights are placed relatively low and give it a jeweled look on an otherwise quite traditional appearance. The car also sports some very interesting wheels. With 18×19 inch wheels in the back, it has 18×18 inch split spoke wheels up ahead. We guess the most apparent thing about the car is its undeniably bulky size. The large LED taillamps are very well accented with a sloping hatch as well as a set of wide haunches.

Now for the engine. The Porsche V6 has an all new direct injection 3.6 liter engine. The engine can give us a power of around 300 horsepower @ 6,200 rpm. It also dishes out a torque of around 295 lb ft at 3,750 rpm. According to the EPA, the car should be able to give us 27 miles per gallon on the highway, and around 18 miles per gallon on the road. We managed to get 20 miles per gallon all thanks to an optional seven speed dual clutch gear box with automatic stopping and starting systems. With reference to speed, we think that the V6 can drive as fast as a car that’s half its size.

We definitely enjoyed testing out this one so much so that we actually put down our notepads and pens and strapped ourselves in and enjoyed the ride.
